Mammapathology

One of our areas of focus is the diagnosis of breast diseases. We specialize in the evaluation of breast biopsies and surgical specimens and offer comprehensive morphological and immunohistochemical characterization of preinvasive lesions and breast carcinomas (including predictive markers such as ER, PR, HER2, and Ki67). Findings are reported in accordance with guidelines to serve as the basis for surgical and systemic treatment plans. For quality assurance, we place great emphasis on second opinions for biopsies. Close interdisciplinary collaboration with clinical colleagues is of particular importance to ensure a high degree of reliability and quality in our findings. Our institute is a certified partner of several breast centers.
