We would like to inform you of an important change in effect in the Canton of Zurich as of 1 January 2025, which has an impact on medical service billing. As of this date, the tariff point value for some health insurers (CSS, Helsana, Sanitas and KPT) in the Canton of Zurich will be increased from CHF 0.89 to CHF 0.91.
As a result, two different tariff point values now apply as of 1 January 2025. An up-to-date list of insurers with the corresponding tariff point value can be found on the website of the Ärztegesellschaft des Kantons Zürich [Medical Association of the Canton of Zurich].
In order to ensure correct billing in accordance with the new tariffs, we require patients’ health insurance details for each sample submission, with the exception of self-payers who do not forward their bill to the health insurer and foreign payers. Without this information, we will not be able to correctly attribute the new tariff point value of CHF 0.91 for patients who have basic insurance through CSS, Helsana, Sanitas or KPT and whose benefits are covered by compulsory health insurance (OKP).
